What we are doing (and always do) to protect YOU 😷
At Main Street Medical, we are constantly working to ensure that we provide a safe, hygienic and healthy environment in our practice. This is, and always has been, of the utmost importance and a very high priority in our practice management. We wanted to take the opportunity to emphasise and reassure you of the procedures we have in place to deter the spread of infection during this time. We felt this was the perfect time due to the recent developments regarding COVID-19.
Each member of staff at Main Street Medical is trained to adhere to extremely strict cleaning and sterilisation procedures at all times. Procedures include, but are not limited to:
– All staff members exercise strict hand-washing procedures (hand-washing stations are located in all consultation rooms, nurse treatment room and bathroom should you wish to also access these during your visit)
– We follow strict protocols regarding the immediate disposal of sharps, waste and linen that has been touched or used by patients or staff
– Each treatment bed is lined with a fresh sanitary paper lining between patients
– Hand sanitiser is used and readily available to all patients and staff at the reception desk and in all consultation rooms
– Hospital-grade disinfectant is used to thoroughly clean surfaces in nurse treatment rooms between patients
– All equipment used is sterilised between uses or disposed if appropriate
We are proud to dedicate ample time each day to cleaning and preparing our equipment and facilities for use, in addition to regular floor to ceiling sanitising of each room several times per week.
In addition to the measures above, our practice is not located within a shopping centre or mall, with parking available in close proximity, so exposure to other members of the community is limited upon arrival.
All of our staff members have also recently completed the COVID-19 Infection Control Training (provided by the Australian Government Department of Health).
We will be constantly working with the advice of the Victorian Department of Health and Human Services and the Australian Government to ensure that our health and safety standards are up to date and appropriate for the ever-changing situation we are currently be presented with.
If you have any questions or comments regarding our health and safety procedures, please do not hesitate to email Main Street Medical on info@msmedical.com.au and your message will be promptly passed on to management.
