Dear patients and friends of Main Street Medical,
Can you believe it’s July already? The cool weather has definitely set in and the mid-year school holidays are almost halfway through – where has 2020 gone?! Here’s to hoping that the second half of the year will be brighter than the first!
Dr Anitha Rajeshkumar is settling in nicely to Main Street, and we have been thrilled to hear so much positive feedback from those patients who have had the pleasure to meet her. A reminder that Dr Anitha is here 4-5 days each week, and you can book an appointment with her online via HealthEngine.com.au or by calling reception.
Business is still running as (almost) usual here at Main Street Medical. We are still engaging a few social distancing strategies:
- Phone consultations are preferential where possible! To arrange a phone consultation with your doctor, please call reception. Referrals and medical certificates can be emailed to you, and prescriptions can be handed directly to our onsite Amcal Pharmacy or sent to your pharmacy of choice. Remember that Amcal Pharmacy can also deliver your medications! Please call the pharmacy on 03 9739 3800 to discuss.
- Patients with cold or flu symptoms are asked to please not come into the clinic under any circumstances. This includes patients needing to be tested for COVID-19 or who are waiting for results to come back. Please call reception to book a phone consultation or for more information on COVID-19 testing and results.
- We are working very hard to minimise the number of people coming through our clinic, but we need your help! If you are coming in for a face-to-face consultation, we are asking that you wait in your car or outside and give us a call to let us know that you have arrived. In turn, we will give you a call when your doctor is ready for you to come through. This will help to avoid having patients waiting in the waiting room for extended periods of time. If you do not have a mobile phone, please let us know upon booking so we can make alternative arrangements to check you in.
- In addition to the above measures, we are asking that where possible you please come to your appointment alone. We understand there are circumstances that this is not always possible, so if you feel you are not able to attend alone, please let us know upon booking.
We are so thankful for the kindness and patience shown by all of our patients over the past few hectic months! We have been overwhelmed by the constant supportive and understanding words and we are so appreciative of everyone for respecting the precautions we have in place. Fingers are crossed that we can return to normal sooner rather than later! We are confident that this can be achieved before we know it, if we keep working together as a community.
We hope you have a happy and safe July!
Kind regards,
Your friends at Main Street Medical
